Voles come and go in cycles. With a life expectancy of about 6 months and very efficient breeding, the variation is significant. Right now, we´re seeing the bottom of a cycle. So who cares? Well, this Great Grey owl may care. He´s travelled far from the North all the way to Helsinki looking for food. With insufficient nutrition he may not breed this year, which means less owls, which means more voles, which means . . . well, you get it. Hungry or not, he looks kinda cool.
